Rich Style Document Overview & Example

What is a Rich Style Document?

Rich style documents are documents that allow rich text (i.e. italics, bold, underline etc) and images to be used and displayed. A Word document is a rich style document that is supported in Checkbox.

Rich style documents can be uploaded through the DOC GEN block from the App Studio.

When should I use Rich Style Documents in Checkbox?

Rich style documents are highly recommended to be used in Checkbox through a DOC GEN block whenever a bespoke document (e.g. agreements, contracts etc) needs to be generated in an App. The rich style document is highly customisable as Checkbox variables that hold end user inputs can be referenced anywhere within the document

For example, in a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) App, the details of both parties signing the contract captured inside a Checkbox App through a variable such as the signee's full name can then be referenced inside a rich style document to be displayed when the document is generated within the App.

Conditional variables can also be used and displayed within rich style documents to create a more complex and bespoke document through your Checkbox Apps.

Where can I see an example?
