Overview
The Matter Management Email Sender Friendly Name feature allows customers to customize how their name and email address appear in email clients when sending emails from the platform. This ensures that recipients recognize the sender and improves email communication clarity.
Steps to Configure the Email Sender Friendly Name
1. Navigate to the Integrations Page
- Go to the Matters tab in your Matter Management system.
- Select Board Settings from the menu.
- Click on Integrations to access the email configuration settings.
2. Modify the Sender Email Address
- On the Integrations page, locate the Email section.
- Click View Settings under Email.
- On the right-hand section, you will see two options:
- Intake Email Address
- Sender Email Address
- Click the pencil icon next to your Sender Email Address to modify it.
3. Edit the Sender Email Address
- In the Edit Sender Email Address pop-up window:
- Enter the email address you want to send emails from.
- If you add a custom email address, a verification link will be sent to that email.
- Open your email and click on the verification link to confirm ownership.

Once verified, you can:
- Select your desired email domain from the available options.
- Set your Sender’s Name (this is how your name will appear in emails). Below is an example of customized Sender name as Legal Team.

Click Save to apply your changes.
4. Verifying Your Domain (If Needed)
Note: If your desired domain is not listed as an option, you will need to verify your domain first in the Email Domains section.
- Navigate to Email Domains in the settings.
- Follow the verification steps provided for adding and verifying your domain.
- Once verified, return to the Email Settings and complete the setup.
