This guide is to help you update your Checkbox AI Agent Slack integration to enable channel support.
⚠️ Note: These steps are only required if you set up your Slack app before 16th June 2025.

Prerequisites
- Administrative access to your Slack workspace
- Checkbox AI Agent
Step-by-Step Migration Process
1. Navigate to your AI Agent and click on "Integrations”
- On the left hand side, click on "Integrations”.
- Select Slack and copy your App Manifest (this will be a new version that includes updated permissions)
2. Update Slack App via manifest

- Go to app settings page.
- Navigate to your Checkbox AI agent app
- Click on "App Manifest" on left side bar
- Select YAML and then paste the new app manifest you had previously copied.
- Click “Save Changes”
- You may see a yellow banner asking you to “reinstall your app for changes to take effect”. If you do, please follow the prompts to reinstall your app.
3. Verify Integration
- Check that AIA appears in your
#legal
channel (or any other channel) - Send a test message to verify the bot responds
Important Notes
The update process may briefly interrupt AIA service. Schedule the migration during off-peak hours.
