Deploy your App

How to deploy your App internally

Apps are deployed internally when only selected internal end users are required to have permission to start private Assessments.

To deploy your App internally:

  1. Navigate your chosen Project Team or create a new Project Team

  2. Go to the "Apps Management" tab and add an App to your Project Team. Learn how here

  3. When prompted to decide between internal and external access for the App, select "Internal Access" and click "NEXT" to add your App to the Project Team

  4. [Optional] If the App added to the Project Team requires a Workflow group, assign users into the workflow group from the "workflow group" tab of the App.

  5. Assign Team Members to your Project Team and set their team user permissions

At this stage, your App is considered internally deployed and is ready for the end user to run private Assessments by accessing the App in the Project Team.

  6. [Premium licence option] Customise your Project Team dashboard

Note: To customise widgets for your Apps and the Project Team dashboard, a premium feature licence is required. Please contact your Checkbox Account Manager for more details.

How to deploy your App externally

Apps are deployed externally when end user inputs are required without the need to sign into Checkbox.

To deploy your App internally:

  1. Navigate your chosen Project Team or create a new Project Team

  2. Go to the "Apps Management" tab and add an App to your Project Team. Learn how here

  3. When prompted to decide between internal and external access for the App, select "External Access" and decide whether to add a security code or not. Click "NEXT" to add your App to the Project Team

  4. [Optional] If the App added to the Project Team requires a Workflow group, assign users into the workflow group from the "workflow group" tab of the App.

  5. Share the public URL that is generated by the Checkbox system. If the security code option was enabled, the Team Administrator must manually share this code to selected end users that do not need to sign into Checkbox to access the deployed App.

Note: If the security code option was selected, Project Team Administrators can reset to randomly generate security codes. Security codes cannot be customised.

At this stage, your App is considered externally deployed and is ready for the end user to run public Assessments by accessing the distributed URL and security code (if enabled).

  6. [Premium licence option] Customise your Project Team dashboard

Note: To customise widgets for your Apps and the Project Team dashboard, a premium feature licence is required. Please contact your Checkbox Account Manager for more details.

The URL to access the public Assessment will direct users to the landing page from where they will begin the Assessment. Every time "START" is clicked from the landing page, a new Assessment is created.
