What are Apps?
An App in Checkbox is an application that can be built using a drag-and-drop interface for workflow that automates forms, decisioning, documents and approvals. Apps can also be systems of record that enable storage, retrieval, and updated of data.
What are the different types of Apps?
In Checkbox, users can create either Flow Apps or Data Apps.
- Flow Apps are workflows that automate forms, decisioning, documents and approvals.
- Data Apps are systems of record that enable the storage, retrieval, and update of data using a single form.
Note: Data Apps are currently a beta feature. Only available on request. If you would like to opt-in for access, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
What is the difference between Apps and Solutions?
Apps are components of a Solution. An App in Checkbox is a software designed and built by a user using drag-and-drop to automate decisioning, workflow, document generation, approvals and more. Other components of the Solution include the Widgets, Dashboard and Scheduled Tasks which accompany the App to capture data and send reminders. Therefore, a Solution is the combination all these components.
