What are Dashboards?

Dashboards are a configurable collection of Widgets that help display information to the user.


What is the difference between Solution Dashboards and Custom Dashboards?

Solution Dashboards are Dashboards that have been customised and prepared within a Solution at an App-level. Solution Dashboards cannot be edited within a Test Team or Project Team.

Custom Dashboards are Dashboards that have been customised and prepared within a Project Team. Custom Dashboards are unique to that Project Team. Typically, if an altered version of a Solution Dashboard is required inside a Project Team, users can copy the Solution Dashboard to create a Custom Dashboard to make any required edits.

 

What happens if the Solution Dashboard is edited across different Solution versions?

If the Solution Dashboards are edited and a new Solution version is published, the Solution Dashboard in all associated Project Teams will be overwritten to reflect the changes. Therefore, if you wish to not have your Dashboards updated upon Solution version updates and want to keep it unique to a Project Team, it is recommended to create a Custom Dashboard.

 

 

How to edit Solution Dashboard

Usage of this feature requires account access to Premium Checkbox features. For queries related to your licence agreement, ask your account administrator to contact your Checkbox Account Manager.


By default, the Solution Dashboard will show the in-progress Assessment List View Widget that displays sample data. However, with a premium feature licence, the Solution Dashboard can be transformed to show a customised dashboard that allows you to modify the layout and add new Widgets for data analytics. Customised list view widgets, and pie and bar-charts are also available.

  1. Navigate to the Solution you wish to edit your Solution Dashboard for

  2. On the left panel, click onto the "Dashboard' tab

  3. At the top right of the page, click onto the edit icon

  4. Click "+ADD WIDGET" to add any other Widgets created within the Solution at an App level. Learn more about Solution Widgets

  5. Drag and drop the Widgets to change the layout and positioning of Widgets to be displayed on the Dashboard

  6. Important: Click "SAVE" once you are happy with the Dashboard.

    Note: Pie Charts and Bar Charts can be aligned side-by-side next to each other. List view Widgets must be stand alone.
