What is the Property Editor?

The Property Editor helps you change the content and behaviour of a selected block from the right panel in the App Studio.

The components of Property Editors in each block can vary. Property Editors can include:

• Header and Block Descriptions
• Rich Text Editor
• Variable Name
• Form Builder
• Tips (FORM, YN, LIST blocks)
• Javascript
• Email Builder
• Table Builder
• Computation Builder
• Save and Delete Buttons

Some components are the same across different blocks such as the Header and Block Descriptions. However, each block can have different components that can be customised in the Property Editor. For example, a FORM block's Property Editor shown below includes components specific to FORM blocks such as the “Form Builder” where you can specify the data you collect from users.

Note: Despite having the auto-save function in-built into Checkbox, it is best practice to save your work if any changes are made to the Property Editor using the 'SAVE' button at the bottom of the Property Editor.
